How Much Do Surrogates in Redlands Make?
The base pay for our surrogates who partner with Los Angeles Surrogacy is $30,000. This amount is higher for experienced surrogates (women who have successfully undergone the surrogacy journey before) and for those carrying multiples (twins or triplets).
Surrogates never pay for their own medical or legal fees. Those are covered by the intended parents. You are also reimbursed for any pregnancy related expenses like pillows, pumps, vitamins, and clothing, as well as for travel expenses to and from appointments or meet-ups.
Why Should I Become a Surrogate in Redlands?
Surrogates who partner with Los Angeles Surrogacy receive a number of benefits including:
- Competitive pay
- Paid-for insurance and medical appointments during your surrogacy journey
- Paid-for pregnancy necessities like clothing, pillow, vitamins, and pumps
- Paid-for therapy, if requested
- A Los Angeles Surrogacy representative who is by your side if you need anything
Becoming a surrogate in Redlands is a selfless act because you help another individual or couple grow their family that otherwise may not have been able to.
Because DNA is made up solely of an egg and a sperm, and those are always given by either the intended parents themselves or from donors, that means the child is never biologically related to the surrogate. The surrogate never uses her own egg to become pregnant, so there is never a genetic link between surrogate and child.
If you have any questions about how this is possible, please give us a call. Our innovative IVF technology is nothing short of miraculous.
What Should I Know Before Applying to Become a Surrogate in Redlands?
Before applying to become a surrogate with Los Angeles Surrogacy, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be between the ages of 20 and 39 years old. This is because women have the highest chance of success in becoming pregnant and delivering a healthy baby with minimal complications in this age range.
- Have a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 33 or less, unless otherwise noted by a doctor.
- Have already been pregnant in the past and have successfully delivered a baby with no (or minimal) complications. Usually, this gives future pregnancies a higher chance of success, as well.
- Live with and care for at least one of their own children.
- Reside in the United States legally, whether through citizenship, green card, or some other legal way.
- Not use any drugs. This includes antidepressants, nicotine, and marijuana. If a surrogate used antidepressants in the past, you must be fully off of them for at least one year before you apply to work with Los Angeles Surrogacy.
Part of your application process includes passing a background check, as well.
On the formal application form, you detail out information on the following topics:
- Contact information, including email and phone number
- Basic personal information, like date of birth and home address
- Diet on a general basis
- Allergies
- General exercise level
- Any additional lifestyle choices that may affect your journey with surrogacy
- Place of residence
- Support system, including parents, significant other, or roommate(s)
- Applicable current medical information
- Applicable medical history and complications, mainly of your reproductive system
- Applicable mental health history
- Preferences you have while embarking on your surrogacy journey, if any, including communication, travel, and geographic preferences
The application form may include more or less questions depending on your unique situation. As your partner in this journey, we want to have all information possible to help you have a safe, comfortable, and successful pregnancy and delivery.
Part of the application process involves a physical examination and an emotional wellness check. Both of these are conducted by medical professionals in the respective field. Your case manager is by your side whenever you need her.
What is the Surrogacy Journey Like?
After your application process is complete, we make you a profile on our roster. Then, we’re able to find you intended parent partners.
Once we match you up, you can meet with your potential partners to ensure you’re a right fit.
You then sign the legal documentation to secure the contract. You have a separate lawyer representing you than your soon-to-be parent partners. They are both present at the signing, as well as your case manager.
From there, you go to a fertility clinic to obtain your hormonal injections, as well as the education necessary to administer them in your own home. You do this for about two weeks to prepare your body to become pregnant.
The embryo transfer procedure is next. An embryo (a mixture of an egg and a sperm) is transferred from a laboratory into your uterus, where it can grow into a healthy baby.
As a reminder, the surrogate never uses her own egg, so the child is never related to her in any way.
Two weeks later, you take a pregnancy test. If it’s negative, you have the option to try the procedure again. This is common and often successful.
If it’s positive, then nine exciting months of growth await you and the baby!
Your Los Angeles Surrogacy case manager plans your appointments and meet-ups, schedules your payments and files reimbursements, and is always one text away should you need help or have any questions throughout your journey.
As delivery day approaches, you sign the Pre-Birth Order to legally declare the intended parents as the child’s parents.
After the baby is born, you receive your last payment and part ways with your parent partners and their new little family.
Why Should I Partner with Los Angeles Surrogacy?
We are always transparent about payment. We find a lot of other surrogacy agencies advertising surrogate payments of $200,000+, but these “payments” include covered legal and medical fees for the surrogate. In other words, these are benefits and never money that is actually seen in the form of payment.
When we say your base pay is $30,000, we mean a minimum payment of $30,000 will make it into your bank account over the course of your time with us.
We also pride ourselves on how experienced and loyal our case managers are. They often become lifelong friends with surrogates because of how close they become during their journey(s) together.
With Los Angeles Surrogacy, you understand all responsibilities and benefits every step of the way, all of your appointments are scheduled for you, and your case manager is always one call away should you need help with anything.
