Surrogacy Partnerships in Chico, California

So, you’ve made the decision to pursue surrogacy in Chico and now you’re looking for resources on where to begin and what this journey entails. Well, you’ve come to the right place. Congratulations!

Whether you are looking to have a child via surrogacy, or you’re looking to become a surrogate to help other families grow, we’re excited you’re here.

Services in Chico

At Los Angeles Surrogacy, we’re able to provide screening and matching for both prospective surrogates and intended parents. Once vetted and partnered up, both parties will be educated on their legal agreement, including their responsibilities and benefits. Once they sign the surrogacy agreement contract, the surrogate will begin to take hormone injections to prepare her body for pregnancy.

The surrogate will undergo an embryo transfer procedure, where a fertilized egg will be transplanted in her uterus. Then there is a “two week wait,” after which she will take a pregnancy test to see if the procedure was successful.

From there, nine months of pure excitement begin! Your case manager will help you schedule appointments, help you communicate with each other (especially when certain milestones are reached, like the start of a new trimester), and will guide you through any part of the process or through obstacles that may arise.

When it’s time for the baby to be born, your case manager will be at the hospital to ensure everything goes smoothly. She will also help obtain the baby’s paperwork after delivery, including travel documents if the parents are traveling to get back home.

We have hundreds of happy success stories proving we are knowledgeable and capable of handling any unique occurrences that may arise during a surrogacy cycle. We’d be happy to add your success and happiness to the list!

About Screening & Matching

If you are looking to become a surrogate to help families grow, there are some requirements you should know about before applying. They are as follows:

  • Be between the ages of 20 and 39.
  • Have a healthy Body Mass Index.
  • You need to have had at least one successful pregnancy in the past.
  • You should be raising at least one of your own children in your home with you.
  • Do not accept government assistance.
  • Reside in the United States legally. Green card and visa is okay.
  • Do not take any drugs. This includes nicotine, prescription, and recreational drugs. If you have taken antidepressants in the past, you must be off of them for a full year before applying.

If you match the above criteria, please schedule a meeting with us! You can contact us here

After your initial meeting with a Los Angeles Surrogacy rep, you can begin filling out an application form. Questions on that form will begin with things like name, contact info, home address, and date of birth. As you continue on, it’ll ask you to detail out certain lifestyle choices as well as medical history that may pertain to your reproductive system or otherwise hinder your ability to get pregnant or become a surrogate.

After the form is filled out, there will be both physical and emotional wellness checks. These are tests conducted by medical doctors to ensure the safety of both you and the unborn child.

You will need to consent to a background check, and you will also need to prove that you have the support of your partner and/or the people who live in your home with you.

At the conclusion of the surrogate screening process, you will discuss any preferences you have with your case manager. These might include communication style, frequency, and travel preferences. You will be paired up with intended parents who have similar preferences to yours – so everyone is happy!

If you are looking to become a parent via surrogacy, your screening process is relatively short. We will request proof of home address, proof of income and financial stability, and consent for a background check. We will also conduct an interview to be sure you are a good fit to partner with our agency.

Intended parents will also have a meeting at the conclusion of their screening process where they discuss preferences with a Los Angeles Surrogacy case manager. These will be used to successfully match them with a surrogate that shares similar viewpoints.

Support

The support you can receive from Los Angeles Surrogacy is quite literally unlimited during your time with us. Call or text us every single day if you want! We offer emotional counseling, medical appointment scheduling, travel advice and planning (if necessary, and most especially for our international intended parents), and problem solving if any obstacles are to arise at any point.

We very rarely have cases where intended parents, surrogates, and their case managers do not become best friends.

Competitive Surrogate Compensation

Our competitive financial packages make us a great, safe place for surrogates to pursue their journey with surrogacy. We offer a base pay that usually begins at around $30,000 but can be higher for those with experience. This payment is delivered as regularly-scheduled paychecks, most often coming through at specific milestones, like the start of a new trimester.

When intended parents sign on to use our services, the money is held in escrow to ensure that each payment is secured and on time.

There are additional payments for surrogates who must undergo a C-section surgery or who carry twins or triplets. Surrogates are also reimbursed for prenatal vitamins, pumps, maternity clothes, and any other necessary pregnancy-related costs. Travel costs, including gas, can also be paid back if receipts are kept.

Take note that all medical and legal expenses are covered by the intended parents.

Intended Parent Costs

Surrogacy costs average about $200,000. Intended parents must cover the payments for the surrogate as detailed above, although the most expensive part of the surrogacy journey is the medical expense.

Intended parents cover all medical fees from hormonal injections, to the embryo transfer procedure, to check-ups, to the hospital fees for the delivery of the baby.

Separate from that, the lawyer must be paid for his or her work in drafting and discussing the contract, and there is an agency fee to cover our services of screening, matching, coordinating, executing, problem solving, scheduling, and guiding.

Though we offer financing options so the cost does not need to be paid in full upfront, we do require proof of income and job security. There is also a downpayment required for us to begin our work.

What Los Angeles Surrogacy Offers

At Los Angeles Surrogacy, we are able to offer proven donors (donors whose egg or sperm donations have resulted in successful pregnancies and healthy babies in the past) to give intended parents peace of mind if they so choose.

We also offer a donor exchange. This means that if your original donor does not go through with their commitment or if the egg collection procedure is unsuccessful, you will not pay extra to begin the process with a different donor.

We have over 15 years of experience in coordinating successful surrogacy journeys. We’ve matched hundreds of partnerships between surrogates and intended parents that have resulted not only in a healthy baby, but also in lifelong friendships.

We specialize in helping intended parents in California, in states where surrogacy is legal, and in foreign countries who wish to come to America to pursue surrogacy.
